hair extensions
Length and fullness that reads as your own hair. We work in Bellami, and we map placement and color before a single row goes in, so the blend holds up in daylight and in a ponytail rather than only from the front.
Hand-tied sew-in, tape-in, and clip-in, matched to what your hair can actually carry.
how we approach extensions
Extensions get blamed for a lot of breakage that was really a placement problem, a weight problem, or a maintenance problem. All three are avoidable.
Fine hair can’t carry the same weight as thick hair, and density at the nape differs from density at the crown. Hand-tied wefts spread load across a row; tape-ins sit flatter and suit finer hair; clip-ins come out at night. We pick based on your hair, not on what’s trending.
Extension hair doesn’t lift or tone the way yours does, so matching happens first and properly. If your color needs adjusting to make the blend work, that’s a separate service we’ll plan into the timeline rather than discover on the day.
Wefts need moving up as your hair grows, roughly every six to ten weeks. That’s a real recurring cost and we’d rather you know it before you commit than find out at the first move-up appointment.
Extensions start with a consultation, not a booked install. We need to see your hair, check density and condition, and order the right hair in the right shade. Booking an install without one usually means rescheduling.
services & pricing
Install pricing below is for the service. Hair is ordered separately once we’ve matched your shade, and we’ll quote that at your consultation.
Our finest hand-tied method. Rows are sewn to a beaded track so nothing shows when hair is parted or tied up. Priced by the number of rows your hair needs.
Standard hand-tied sew-in rows, our most common method for adding both length and genuine fullness.
Tape-ins sit flat against the head and suit finer hair. Clip-ins come out at the end of the day, for length when you want it without a commitment.
Wefts move up as your own hair grows. Removal is a service in its own right and should never be done at home.
Planning extensions around a wedding? Build in time for a consultation, the install, and at least one move-up before the date. See bridal hair for how we schedule it.
what to expect
We assess density and condition, agree a method and a row count, match your shade, and quote the hair. Budget on this being a separate visit.
Your hair is ordered in the matched shade. Turnaround depends on the shade and length, so this is the step that decides your install date.
Depending on rows, anywhere from about an hour to most of an afternoon. You leave with the finished blend cut in and styled.
Every six to ten weeks your rows are moved back up to the scalp as your own hair grows. Same hair, reused until it’s had its life.
making them last
Your own hair recovers from heat and product. Extension hair doesn’t — it has no blood supply and no way to rebuild. Everything you do to it is cumulative.
Which is why the tool matters more than people expect. A drugstore iron that swings wildly in temperature will cook a set of extensions months before their time. We carry ghd for exactly that reason, alongside the brushes and sulfate-free ranges that keep the hair soft.
before you book
Install starts at $325 for a single hand-tied row and $375 for one invisible hand-tied row. Hair is ordered separately and quoted at your consultation, and move-ups every six to ten weeks are $125 per row. We’ll give you the full picture up front rather than the install price alone.
Not when they’re matched to what your hair can carry, placed correctly, and maintained on schedule. Damage comes from too much weight on fine hair, rows left in too long past a move-up, or removal attempted at home. All three are avoidable.
Hand-tied wefts are sewn onto a beaded track and spread weight across a row, which makes them the stronger choice for adding real fullness. Tape-ins are bonded in flat sandwiched sections, sit closer to the head, and suit finer hair that can’t carry a sewn row. Your consultation decides which.
The hair itself, with good care, generally lasts several move-up cycles before it needs replacing. The install needs moving up every six to ten weeks regardless, because your own hair grows and the rows travel down with it.
Sometimes. Extension hair is matched to you rather than the other way round, but if your current color makes a clean blend difficult we may suggest adjusting it first. That’s a separate color service and we’ll plan it into the timeline at consultation.
Please don’t. Removal is a service for a reason — cutting the wrong thread or pulling a bead takes your own hair with it. Removal is $105 and takes a fraction of the time it would take you to undo the damage.
areas we serve
Extension guests travel to LaBara from across the north side of Atlanta, and park in Andrews Square rather than circling for a space off Peachtree.
ready when you are
We’ll look at your hair, agree a method, and quote the whole thing — install, hair, and upkeep.
